Gray Shingle Cape Front Step Railings
Project Overview
Custom horizontal-bar black aluminum rails at the front step of a gray shingle cape. Posts anchor into new stone-veneer risers and the bluestone tread caps.
Analysis
Existing wood handrail was failing. We replaced it with a modern horizontal-bar aluminum system that complements the new masonry steps.
Process
1) Remove old handrail 2) Lay out posts 3) Core-drill & epoxy 4) Install rail panels 5) Sealant & punch list.
Outcome
Low-profile modern rails that let the new masonry read cleanly from the street.
