Stone-Block Park Entry Steps with Black Steel Rails
Project Overview
Black powder-coated steel handrails installed on a wide stone-block entry staircase between two site walls, providing ADA-compliant grip on both sides of the full run.
Analysis
Site walls and stair treads were complete but lacked code-compliant handrails. We engineered a clean dual-rail that terminates flush into the block caps.
Process
1) Field-measure each run 2) Shop-fabricate rails 3) Core-drill mounts 4) Set and anchor 5) Seal & touch-up.
Outcome
Safe, code-compliant ingress/egress that keeps the stone staircase as the visual focus.
