Grand Colonial Front Entry Handrails
Project Overview
Matched-pair exterior handrails flanking a formal brick-wall front entry on a large colonial, finished in satin black with a traditional scroll centerpiece.
Analysis
The original concrete steps had no handrails, which is a code issue for steps of this rise and was a daily safety concern for the owners. We designed symmetrical handrails with a single decorative panel that matches the home.
Process
Consult, design approval, fabrication, one-day install, landscape cleanup.
Outcome
The entry now meets code, the homeowners have secure handrails, and the railings feel original to the home.
